Projects
All the three rhino species are heavily threatened and the Javan Rhino even is very rare. Therefore the rhinos, which are still living, need good protection. Protection against poachers, who want to use their horn, but also protection of their habitat. This decreases by cutting down the trees.
An indirect way of rhino protection is by researching them. For example research on the behaviour of the rhinos can help to understand better why an animal does something, but also to let them live in the most possible natural way in captivity. Another important reason to do research is to learn in what kind of area the rhinos live, which can give an answer on the question what kind of elements a rhino needs in his or her environment.
